Every Stakeholder Matters

About Me

I am mom to a current HCPSS student, and for more than seven years I have volunteered my time to Howard County Public Schools as a classroom reading circle volunteer, room mom, PTA Community Service Committee Chair, History Day judge, Community Advisory Council member, Operating Budget Review Committee member (2016 - current), and HCPSS Policy Committee Representative for no less than ten active and pending policies.

I am a proud graduate of a once stellar public school system, but I have watched my beloved hometown grapple with and fail to address the demands of an increasingly diverse school district to the detriment of the entire community.

In industry, I have more than twenty years of experience in the areas of Strategic Planning, Employee Relations, Recruiting/Talent Acquisition, Program Design, Diversity & Inclusion, and Change Management.  I began my career as a jack of all trades, supporting a certified 8(a) technology professional services corporation as their business management proposal writer, Recruiter and account manager tasked with saving at risk accounts.  It was during that experience that my unique talent for providing insight into business considerations and for uncovering strategic advantages that should be leveraged to gain market advantage was honed.

During my career, I have been an independent consultant, team leader, manager, and senior individual contributor for U.S. and U.K.-based offices, consistently staying true to my personal belief that there isn't a problem that does not have corresponding and creative solutions.

I graduated with a B.Sc. from Fairleigh Dickinson University and held the professional designation of Senior Professional of Human Resources from 2002 - 2016.
